Two-wheeler accidents are a major urban crisis, often caused by lack of visibility and delayed emergency response. V-BIKES was designed as an integrated safety shield that not only predicts collisions but actively coordinates rescue efforts in the golden hour after an accident.

Smart Safety Stack
- Predictive Proximity: Ultrasonic sensors maintain a dynamic "safety bubble" around the rider, providing escalating haptic alerts as obstacles enter high-risk zones.
- Collision Notification: Upon detecting an impact or a sudden fall (via accelerometer), the system automatically transmits the precise GPS coordinates to emergency contacts via a GSM module.
- Intelligent Safeguards: Integrated helmet detection ensures the system only activates when the rider is properly equipped, promoting better safety habits.
Scalability
The system was built with cost-efficiency in mind, designed to be easily retrofitted to existing affordable commuter bikes. Our prototype demonstrated that high-end safety features like automatic incident reporting can be implemented with low-power, affordable embedded components.
